Kristen Cochrane is an exercise physiologist with over 15 years of experience in clinical exercise testing and fitness prescription. She builds smart, science-backed strategies that support strength, mobility and long-term health, all from home through MEDgevity’s virtual platform.
Education
Kristen earned her PhD in Physiology and Nutrition from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, her MS in Exercise Physiology from California State University–Fullerton and her BA in Cognitive Sciences from UC Irvine, where she graduated with honors.
Professional experience
Kristen has worked with everyone from high-performing athletes to busy parents and people recovering from heart attacks or strokes. She is Associate Professor and Clinical Exercise Physiology Concentration Coordinator at Point Loma Nazarene University, and has held faculty positions at Concordia University Chicago, Fresno State University and UC Irvine.
She has coordinated multiple clinical trials and published over 35 peer-reviewed articles on human performance and exercise science. Her expertise includes cardiorespiratory stress testing (CPET with ECG), body composition analysis including DEXA, neuromuscular function and exercise prescription aligned with ACSM guidelines.
